Renovation Supervisor & Carpenter

Responsibilities:

 

The selected candidate will be required to:

  • Assess project requirements, workflow, and delegate tasks appropriately among team members

  • Accurately assess and compile the required materials and equipment tailored to each unique project, ensuring optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness

  • Manage project materials, inventory, and budget to minimize costs and waste

  • Document project progression, maintaining regular updates to the proposed schedule to ensure effective time management

  • Ensure cost-effective use of materials according to specific project needs, fostering accuracy and minimizing waste

  • Interprets plans accurately, translating these plans into high-quality outcomes

  • Demonstrates respect for homeowners' property, safeguarding personal spaces, and upholding strict confidentiality concerning home details and resident privacy

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, reflecting respect for safety standards and promoting an efficient working environment

  • Produce top-tier quality work, integrating safety and efficiency into each phase of construction

  • Train carpenters in techniques, safety, and customer service

  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards across all projects

  • Collaborate with team members and clients to achieve desired outcomes, adapting to feedback and project adjustments as necessary

  • Administrate timecards and payroll processes in collaboration with the external CFO

  • Facilitate meetings internally and with clients to keep everyone well-informed of changes and project plans

  • Train and coach carpenter team staff on new skill adoption and current skill improvement

  • Mitigate team conflict while motivating teams to work together in an efficient manner

  • Conduct regular 1:1 performance meetings, onboarding reviews, and annual reviews

  • Properly document worked shifts within the time-tracking system

Required Knowledge, Experience, Education, and Training:

Experience & Education required:

  • A proven track record in carpentry, reflected by 2-5 years of hands-on experience

  • Possession of a valid driver's license
