Storm Debris Drop-Off Location Set Up for O’Fallon Residents

O’FALLON, IL – In response to the recent storm, the City of O’Fallon has set up a designated drop-off location for residents to dispose of yard debris. Beginning immediately, residents can bring storm-related yard debris to O’Fallon Fire House #4, located at 1215 Taylor Road, O’Fallon, Illinois 62269.

The drop-off site will be open daily from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. to accommodate residents in need of debris disposal. This service is available exclusively for O’Fallon residents and is not for use by contractors or commercial entities. The site is intended for yard waste such as tree limbs, branches, and other organic debris caused by the storm.

“We want to make it as easy as possible for residents to clean up after the storm,” said Mayor Herb Roach. “This drop-off site will provide a convenient and safe way to dispose of storm debris.”

Additional Yard Waste Disposal Options:

In addition to the storm debris drop-off site, Waste Management provides year-round yard waste pickup for O’Fallon residents.
  • Unlimited amounts of yard waste will be collected curbside once per week from each single-family home.
  • Accepted yard waste includes grass clippings, leaves, vines, hedges, shrub and tree trimmings, smaller tree branches, household and yard plants, and holiday trees.
  • Organic waste must be contained in personal containers, Waste Management-provided containers, or paper yard waste bags (maximum of 12 containers or bags).
  • Sticks may be bundled but must be no longer than 3 feet, no wider than 6 inches, and weigh no more than 50 pounds.
  • Yard waste does not include dirt or rocks.
  • Collections occur during normal service hours but never earlier than 6 a.m.

Important Notice
  • Do not pile yard waste or debris in the roadways. Debris left in the streets can create traffic hazards and obstruct emergency vehicles. Please keep all storm debris on your property until it can be properly disposed of at the designated drop-off site or through curbside collection.
  • This location will be monitored, and citations may be issued for illegal dumping. Residents are asked to only bring natural yard debris—no household waste, construction materials, or hazardous items will be accepted.
