Southwestern Illinois Justice and Workforce Development Center (SIUE Belleville Campus) Welcomes New Staff

Liz Barnes
SIUE recently hired a Community Outreach Navigator to serve the Belleville and Metro East Communities at the Campus in the former Belleville West High School at 2300 West Main Street.  Liz Barnes began her new role in November and comes with a strong background in program management, stakeholder engagement, and community service.  When asked about her new position Liz stated, “I’m enjoying my time working in Belleville and learning what SIUE can do to be a collaborative partner with the City and all of the diverse stakeholders who may benefit from our services and programs.  I look forward to all SIUE and the City of Belleville can accomplish in working together.”
With long-standing experience serving St. Clair County communities, Liz has worked across various sectors, including social services, healthcare, and nonprofit organizations. She is skilled in building and nurturing partnerships to drive positive change and improve access to resources.  Her aim is to serve the community by offering relevant programs and services on site at the Campus.  To learn more about the work SIUE is doing at the campus in Belleville, visit our website, enroll in a Belleville course or reach out to Liz and schedule a time to visit with her at the Campus at elizaba@siue.edu.
