Time has a way of moving faster than you expect. And when you pause for a moment and look back, you realize how much has been built along the way.
This year marks 95 years of KEB, and we wanted to take a moment to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Thank you for placing your trust in us. Thank you for the conversations, the questions, and the chance to support you through important moments in your business and your life. We are grateful for your trust, every single day.
KEB began in 1931, when Louis J. Kerber and Albert O. Eck Sr. opened offices in Springfield, Illinois and St. Louis, Missouri. A few years later, Walter E. Braeckel joined the firm, establishing the name we still carry today.
What started as a small firm built around audit, accounting, and tax services has evolved into something much broader. Today, we support clients through audit and assurance services, accounting and payroll support, tax planning and compliance, wealth management, business advisory and valuation services, management consulting, and more. These services allow us to help clients solve real problems, plan ahead, and feel confident about what comes next.
While the firm has grown over the years, what we value most has not changed. We still believe the best work comes from showing up, listening closely, and offering guidance that feels personal, thoughtful, and steady.
Today, KEB is home to more than 200 professionals across eight locations in three states. We are incredibly proud of that growth, but what means even more to us are the relationships behind it.
As we ring in 2026, we find ourselves thinking about the clients who have been with us for decades, the families who have trusted us across generations, and the businesses we have seen evolve and grow through the years.
