HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital Now Offering Free Pregnancy and Birth Classes for Expectant Families

O’FALLON, Ill. — HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital is pleased to announce that all pregnancy and birth education classes will now be offered completely free of charge to expectant parents. This change is part of the hospital’s ongoing commitment to supporting expectant mothers and empowering families with knowledge and confidence as they prepare to welcome a new baby. The following prenatal education classes are now available for free: • Prepared Childbirth Classes • Breastfeeding Classes • Infant and Child Safety Class • Birth Circle Breakfasts • Parent Circle Support Group • Guided Women and Infants Center Tours “Our goal is to ensure that every expectant mom and their support person has access to the information they need to feel supported and ready for labor, delivery and life with a newborn,” said Tracy Mensing, Interim Manager of the Women and Infants Center at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. “By removing the financial barrier, we hope even more families will take advantage of these important resources.” All classes are open to any mom-to-be and a support person, regardless of where they plan to deliver.
