Hospice of Southern Illinois to Host 1st Annual “Lighting Our Community” Event

BELLEVILLE, IL – Hospice of Southern Illinois is pleased to invite the community to the 1st Annual Lighting Our Community event, a special evening dedicated to honoring those we have loved and embracing the spirit of community. The event will take place at 305 - 333 South Illinois Street, Belleville, IL 62220 on Tuesday, December 3rd from 5:00 P.M. – 5:30 P.M. Lighting Our Community marks the beginning of the holiday season with a peaceful gathering for reflection, remembrance, and unity. The celebration is open to everyone—whether you're part of our hospice family or a member of the broader community. Together, we will hold a peaceful candlelight vigil, listen to music that brings comfort, and have a moment of reflection. A highlight of the evening will be the lighting of a beautiful 30-foot pine tree, standing proudly between our two offices (305 and 333) on South Illinois Street in Belleville. Wrapped in shimmering lights, the tree symbolizes hope, remembrance, and togetherness throughout the holiday season. Guests are invited to warm up with a cup of hot chocolate as we gather beneath the lights. The illuminated tree will continue to shine throughout the holiday season, providing a place for all who pass by to pause and reflect. Hospice of Southern Illinois looks forward to sharing this meaningful moment with the community and welcomes everyone to join in this inaugural event.
