Physical Therapist Assistant | One-on-one Private Practice
Specialized Physical Therapy is searching for an experienced Part or Full-time Missouri Licensed physical therapy assistant to join our team at our growing private practice. We are a privately owned orthopedic physical therapy office working alongside an orthopedic surgeon, a nurse practitioner and 3 therapists. We see a variety of orthopedic patients with an emphasis on spine. Our office strives to provide quality care, not quantity. Our appointments are mostly scheduled for45 minutes, one-on-one. We make time to perform manual therapy rather than running patients through exercises with minimal supervision. We have full access to the medical staff in regards to our patient's care. We are able to communicate any concerns directly with the physician rather than communicating with someone at a front desk. Our patients appreciate this communication immensely and feel that they are being taken care of as a whole. An ideal candidate is someone who is energetic and motivated and is rewarded by putting a smile on our patient's faces. Primary Qualifications: Physical Therapy Assistant degree from an accredited school with an active Illinois license CPR certified (recommended) Manual therapy skills is a plus Office Hours: 8-5:30 Monday-Friday Closed all major holidays Job Type: Part-Time/Full-Time Schedule: Flexible Location: St. Louis, MO Duties - Carry out personalized treatment plans based on plan of care. - Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to improve patients' mobility, strength, and function - Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for home exercises and self-care - Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records Requirements - Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state (IL or MO) - Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively in a team environment - Prior experience in acute care or hospital settings is a plus Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
